The Saturn brand of automobiles was thought of in June of 1982. Alex C. Mair had the idea, and a little over a year later, the idea came to fruition. The brand was officially created as a small car company. GM acquired the company two years later, and the world was introduced to the Saturn SC and SL. The brand identified themselves as a “new kind of car company,” and released a ton of unique car models throughout the 90s. The brand even produced the first electric car for the GM brand. Their ideas continued to expand, but unfortunately, not everyone was on board with them. In 2010, Saturn production was halted by GM. Even though Saturn vehicles are no longer in production, they definitely have left a legacy behind and produced some of the best compact cars in the United States. It’s important to use OEM parts and accessories for repairs or upgrades if you happen to drive a Saturn vehicle. This way, they will fit properly and last a long period of time.
